I'm the type who always chooses the road less travelled with the desire to search around every lonely corner just to see what's there. You know the type, the type that has to touch the plate even though they've been warned it's hot!
When my kids were little, we would take to the road with a tent, sleeping bag, toothbrush, hoody, and spare underwear (little else!) and drive to the end of the M5 where it was then all up to them. At every roundabout/junction they would take it in turns to choose which road to take. There was no plan, we simply ended up where we ended up and that's the way we liked it. At least I didn't have the usual "are we there yet?" as we never knew where 'there' was! We had the BEST times.
I am definitely that friend that rings up last minute and says "get dressed, pack some undies, we're going on an adventure!" - although not all of my friends are up for it!
I can't tell you how excited I am at finally becoming a camper van owner. I have a mortgage and a job (to pay the mortgage) so I'm not yet quite as free as I'd like to be but I have every intention to have as many adventures in Little Blue as time will allow and look forward to you joining us on our journey.
