BACK IN LITTLE BLUE
With a couple of days leave and Berty having just finished her A-Levels...it's been a long and lonely slog for her through Covid...Little Blue is back on the road.
A spontaneous trip down south again (it's where the weather is best) to beautiful Milford-On-Sea. This coastal town holds memories for me, it's where I used to visit with a friend when our children were very young and i'm looking forward to discovering if it has remained as unspoilt as I remember.
Didn't book anywhere before we left as it was a complete last minute decision. Love that owning a camper van allows us to do this, just get up and go and with Brit Stops on board, there's always somewhere to stay.
On arrival, we did however decide to book in to the friendly Lytton Lawn site which although fairly small is packed with amenities and very reasonably priced. This meant we had EHU (Electric Hook Up), could put up the awning for extra space and had a relaxing base for our mini break away. The beauty of the awning is its ease of use. It's inflatable so no poles and once erected and pegged out, which takes between 10 - 15 minutes, you can simply unzip it from the van and drive away to explore the area.
Three days of gorgeous weather, lovely long stretches of sand, a spot of sea swimming (always a bonus for me), relaxing meals in the awning, long wanders, precious time making more memories together and a taste of freedom with Little Blue. What more could anyone ask?
