Day 6 was definitely ALL about the journey...and what a journey it was! Woke up to a magically misty morning and just knew the day would be one to remember.
Day 6 had EVERYTHING! Wild stags (never seen Chris happier), the MAGNIFICENT Kylesku Bridge and little old us crossing it... so magnificent we had to turn around and drive it again just for the views...scary mountain passes through the Geo Park...miles of them, the amazing Smoo Caves, STUNNING white sands of north coast beaches, wild swims in the crystal clear sea at Clashnessie (brrrrr!), loads of sightseeing stops and a little bit of chilling in between. Highly recommend the 'Sango Bay Viewpoint' which is between two great Durness beaches, superb views all around (see pano pic below in collage). What a day...one of my happiest!
Little Blue has done us proud. Another fantastic day with windows down, wind in our hair, feeling the true feeling of freedom of this MIND BLOWING road trip. Yet another night of wild camping up in the highlands...well, we've had a wash in the sea...and you can't get fresher than that!
