I personally would rather be judged on what I have done than what I have. For me, filling the spaces in my life with doing things feels far more satisfying than filling acrual spaces with unnecessary stuff. I have realised that stuff, things, tangiable goods do not make me happy.
Filling my home with useless gadgets and ornaments just clutters my mind. I prefer to surround myself with photographic reminders of time well spent, of memories made and a life well lived. Evidence of opportunities that have arisen, of times when I have challenged myself and tried something new, of precious times spent with family and friends, of times when I have felt true freedom in my soul and love in my heart.
As people around me seem to desire more, I honestly feel the need for less. Less stuff, less stress, less noise, less demand.
Less brings me an air of calmness, less frees my mind, less brings clarity to my soul, helping me focus on what is really important to me amd that is simply...TIME.
TIME to think, TIME for loved ones, TIME to explore, discover and just be.
Make time for whatever it is that makes you happy, make time to try something new, make time to explore new places and discover the wonders of nature. Walk in the rain, dance in the snow, sing in the sunshine. Watch the sunrise and catch the sunset, spend precious time with family and true friends, grow something: a plant or some vegetables, listen to the birdsong,at dawn, sit amongst wild flowers, swim in the ocean, climb a mountain and admire the view from the top. Careful walking barefoot in the shallows though...(Weever fish stings HURT).
Take TIME to explore your mind and discover what it is rhat brings you true happiness. What does it for me? My family's health and seeing my children happy, exploring and feeling the freedom that 'Little Blue' allows, belly laughter with real friends, those who truly care, the exhileration of cold water swimming and just enjoying being outside. I'm such a simple creature ar heart.
FIND YOUR HAPPINESS, whatever it is...DO MORE OF IT, appreciate it and ENJOY!
